The WECC Business Lounge hosted an important event organized by Mr Rapil Zhoshybayev, Commissioner General of Republic of Kazakhstan and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The event, organized to create business networking among entrepreneurs, Commissioners and Directors of Pavilions and other important guests, has also been a moment of leisure with International dancers and singers. Twenty Countries Confirmed for Participation in 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition
On April 13, the Organizing Committee of 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition (hereinafter referred respectively to as “the Organizing Committee” and “Beijing Expo 2019”) held a briefing meeting at the Beijing Hall of Beijing Hotel with diplomatic envoys from more than 80 countries and international organizations.
Wang Chuncheng, Deputy Director-General of Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition Coordination Bureaus (BIHECB), said in the introduction session, “Beijing Expo 2019 will attract more than 100 countries and international organizations to participate. It is of vital importance in 2017 to promote the exhibitor recruitment, so we will strive to complete 80% of the tasks in this regard, that is, to confirm 80 exhibitors from various countries and international organizations.”

An agreement between WECC and Kazakh Invest was sealed on the occasion of the press conference dated June 11th, 2017 in Astana. This marks an important step which enables Companies from all over the world, represented in Astana by the Commissioners of the Pavilions of the participating Countries, to develop business and synergies with Kazakhstan.
WECC has strong relationships with Commissioners of more than 120 Countries worldwide besides a network of extensive international contacts in both public and private sector. The Club has over 1000 members with headquarters in Milano, Shanghai, Antalya and Astana.
Kazakh Invest is a national company which provides support for industrial and innovative activities and helps attract investments in the Kazakhstani economy.
Focus of this Agreement is directed at the development of the following sectors: ferrous/non ferrous metallurgy, oil refining, petrochemical industry, food production, production of motor vehicles and its parts, production of agricultural equipment, electrical machinery, railway engineering, mining industry and construction material.

Expo 2017 Astana is an International Expo which is taking place from June 10th to September 10th in Astana, Kazakhstan. “Future Energy” is the theme of this International Expo dedicated to the production of sustainable energy, referring specifically to the environment and renewable energy. This is the first time that a central Asian country has hosted such an event with more than 80 countries participating and an estimated 5 million visitors expected over the three months.
With Alessandro Rosso Group as a founding member, WECC is in Astana to continue its mission, started at Expo Milano 2015, to encourage networking and collaboration between Commissioners, Pavilion Directors, Institutions and Companies. WECC’s new seat is a space of about 450m2 situated in a key location within the exhibition area. This space, equipped with the latest technology, has meeting rooms, a lounge and exhibition areas and is available to Club Members for B2B and B2G meetings and events.

Billions on Offer
Representatives of small and medium enterprises, SMEs, will get a chance to showcase their firms to procurement staff from Expo 2020 Dubai and some of its largest contractors at an event next week.
The first in a series of Meet the Buyers events will take place on 10th May in Dubai, where SMEs can gain valuable insight into the process of awarding billions of dirhams worth of contracts and sub-contracts in their sector, then meet the people face to face who will be deciding on the deals.

One month to the Opening of EXPO Astana 2017
Approximately one month away, on June 10, one of the key events dedicated to renewable energy will be opened in Astana. Exciting technological innovations which will become a part of everybody’s life in the future will be demonstrated to the visitors of EXPO-2017.
The participants are doing their best to surprise guests of the exhibition by unique designs. Some of the pavilions are planned to be finished long before the opening. “About 50% of the exhibition is ready, and we are going to complete our works in May”, Kim Jehona, a representative of the pavilion of South Korea, president of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (КОТРА), said.
