EXPO 2017 Astana
Number of Participating Countries exceeded the Plan
101 countries have confirmed their participation in the International Specialized Exhibition “Astana EXPO-2017”.
We recall that earlier, Brazil officially confirmed its participation in the Exhibition, being the 99th participating country. The strategic number of countries specified in the Exhibition’s registration dossier was 100 participating countries. Ukraine confirmed its participation and became the hundredth country. The next country in the list is the Dominican Republic.
To date, 68 countries have signed participation agreements and 87 countries have appointed their commissioners. Besides, 18 international organizations confirmed their participation, too.
We recall that the standard procedure consists of several stages: confirming participation, appointing the Commissioner and signing the participation agreement.
As soon as in October, the international pavilions will be handed over to the participating countries.
The International Specialized Exhibition will be held in Astana from 10 June to 10 September 2017. More than 2 million visitors and 5 million visits are expected at the Exhibition.
